Terms of Service & Licensing
Maker-first licensing designed for workshops, Etsy entrepreneurs, and sign-makers. You maintain 100% intellectual property ownership of every cut-ready vector and embroidery stitch file generated on Vector Maker.
Sell physical craft creations, decals, apparel, and signs on Etsy, Shopify, and local markets freely.
Vector Maker asserts zero copyright or licensing claims over your designs, client artwork, or logos.
Always execute a test cut or test stitch on scrap stock before committing to high-volume production.
1. Commercial Licensing & Ownership
When you convert an image, sketch, or design using Vector Maker, you retain complete, exclusive, and unencumbered ownership of all resulting output files (including SVG, DXF, and Tajima DST embroidery stitch files).
Vector Maker grants you a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free commercial license to utilize all generated files for:
- Physical Product Resale: Manufacturing and selling physical finished goods (vinyl decals, heat-transfer vinyl apparel, custom embroidered caps, laser-cut acrylic signs, wood crafts) on platforms such as Etsy, Amazon Handmade, Shopify, eBay, and independent retail storefronts.
- Client Project Delivery: Fulfilling custom branding, embroidery digitizing, and sign-making work for commercial and retail clients.
- Internal Business Operations: Producing corporate uniforms, trade show displays, promotional items, and manufacturing stencils.
No attribution, backlink, or mention of Vector Maker is required on any commercial product or packaging.
2. Zero IP Claim & User Warranties
Vector Maker asserts zero intellectual property claims over your uploaded graphics, vectorized contours, or embroidery stitch sequences. Because all computations execute client-side via in-memory WebAssembly (WASM), Vector Maker neither collects nor stores copies of your designs on any remote server.
By utilizing Vector Maker, you warrant that you possess the necessary intellectual property rights, trademarks, or licenses for any graphics or logos you submit for vectorization. You agree not to knowingly use Vector Maker to infringe on third-party registered trademarks or copyrighted material.
3. Hardware Safety & Calibration Disclaimer
Vector Maker mathematically formats files according to recognized technical specifications (including 100% closed polylines, Clipper2 polygon unioning, AutoCAD R12 DXF coordinates, and commercial Tajima DST binary encoding with standard 512-byte headers and ternary needle step limitations).
However, physical manufacturing equipment operates in diverse environments with variable blade sharpness, laser beam kerf, cutting mat adhesion, thread tension, bobbin balance, stabilizer backing weight, and machine speed.
You are solely responsible for executing a test cut or test stitch on scrap materials to confirm scale, blade depth, laser power, thread tension, and hoop clearance before initiating production on valuable final garments or materials.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vector Maker and its contributors shall not be held liable for broken machine needles, premature blade dulling, laser scorching, torn vinyl, damaged garment blanks, or workshop downtime arising from file interpretation or machine execution.
4. Billing, Subscriptions & Refund Policy
Vector Maker provides free daily conversions alongside optional paid access packages:
- Single Pass ($1.99): A one-time purchase granting immediate unmetered high-resolution conversion credits without recurring billing.
- Maker Pack ($6.99/mo): A monthly subscription providing expanded credit volume, priority processing, and ongoing craft business features.
Payment processing is handled securely through Stripe, Inc. You can cancel your Maker Pack subscription at any time with a single click via your receipt portal or by emailing support. Cancellations take effect at the conclusion of the current prepaid billing period.
Because computational resources and downloadable vector files are delivered instantly upon purchase, payments are non-refundable once conversion credits have been redeemed. If a reproducible technical fault prevents file generation, our engineering team will promptly issue credit replacements upon verification.
